This Privacy Policy explains how the Push-Up Legend app (the “App”) handles information. The App is operated by an independent individual developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”), not by a company. The App was built to keep your data on your device: the camera is used only to count your reps and is processed entirely on your phone, there is no account, and your progress is stored locally.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The short version

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your email or phone number to use the App.
The camera is processed entirely on your device to count reps and detect your form. The video is never recorded, stored, or uploaded, and it never leaves your phone.
Your profile, workouts, stats and progress are stored on your device.
We do not run our own analytics, and we do not sell your data.
Optional leaderboards use Apple’s Game Center; subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat.

2. Information we process

(a) Camera input for rep counting

When you start a workout, the App uses your device camera together with Apple’s on-device body-pose detection to recognise your movement and count each rep. This happens in real time on your iPhone. The camera frames are analysed and immediately discarded — the video is not recorded, not saved, and not transmitted off the device. We never see or receive your camera feed.

(b) Profile and onboarding details you provide

During setup you choose a display name and avatar and may answer a few questions — such as your age, gender, workout experience, goal, and how often you want to train. You may also pick a daily reminder time. These inputs are used to personalise your plan and experience, and are stored on your device.

(c) Workout and game progress

The App keeps your reps, workout history, streaks, XP, levels, rank, achievements and high scores. This progress is stored locally on your device.

(d) Game Center data (optional)

If you choose to use the leaderboards, the App submits your scores to Apple’s Game Center. Game Center then shows your Game Center nickname and scores to you and to other players on the global and friends leaderboards. Game Center is provided by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy, and you can sign out of it at any time in your device settings.

(e) Subscription information

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled by the Apple App Store. We (through our subscription provider, RevenueCat) receive your subscription status and a non-identifying, app-generated identifier so we can unlock and verify premium features. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.

(f) Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App schedules local reminders on your device (for example, your daily “Battle Call”). You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.

(g) Support communications

If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.

(h) Limited technical data

Our infrastructure providers (Apple and RevenueCat) may process limited technical information — such as device type, app version, region, and timestamps — as a normal part of operating, delivering, and securing the App and its purchases.

We do not knowingly collect more personal information than is necessary to provide the App.

3. Camera permission

The App asks for camera access solely to count your reps and detect your form during a workout, using on-device processing. It does not access your photo library for this, and it does not record video. If you deny or later revoke camera access, the rep-counting battles will not work, but you can grant access again at any time in your device settings.

4. How we use information

To count your reps and run the on-device workout battles;
To build and personalise your training plan and profile;
To track your progress, streaks, ranks and achievements on your device;
To provide optional leaderboards through Game Center;
To manage subscriptions and unlock premium features;
To send local reminders you opt into;
To respond to your support requests; and
To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse or misuse.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

5. Legal bases (where applicable, e.g. EEA/UK)

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (for example, when you grant camera or notification access); performance of a contract (to provide the features you request, including subscriptions); and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the App and prevent abuse). You can withdraw consent at any time by revoking permissions in your device settings.

6. Service providers and sub-processors

We use a small number of trusted third parties to operate the App. They process information only as needed to provide their service:

Apple: provides the platform and the on-device pose-detection and camera frameworks, processes your purchases through the App Store, and runs Game Center for the optional leaderboards.
RevenueCat: manages and verifies your subscription entitlement using a non-identifying, app-generated identifier.

We do not use a custom application server, a third-party analytics SDK, or any AI cloud service to run the App. Each provider operates under its own terms and privacy commitments; we encourage you to review the policies of Apple and RevenueCat.

7. Data retention

Your camera video is not retained at all — frames are analysed on-device in real time and immediately discarded. Your profile, progress and settings remain on your device for as long as you keep the App installed, and are removed when you delete that data in the App or uninstall the App. Our service providers may retain limited technical or transaction records for the period required to operate their services, ensure security, and meet legal obligations. Game Center scores are retained by Apple according to its policies.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including on-device processing of your camera feed, encrypted transport for purchase and leaderboard interactions, and keeping your personal progress on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International data transfers

Our providers may process limited information (such as purchase and Game Center data) on servers located in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you understand that this information may be processed outside your country of residence, where data-protection laws may differ.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. Because your profile and progress are stored on your device and we do not hold an account for you, the most direct way to delete your data is to reset or delete it within the App or uninstall the App. For subscription or Game Center data, you can also use Apple’s tools in your device settings. 11. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and it is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
